TfL are consulting on changes to local bus routes, including reducing the frequency of route 391 to every 15 minutes during weekday daytimes and to every 20 minutes during weekday evenings and all day on Sundays. Route 440 would be diverted to run direct via Acton Lane between Turnham Green and Chiswick Park Station and would no longer serve Chiswick Health Centre and Acton Green. Consultation closes 17th September.

The Fight continues!A new exhibition on Chiswick by professional local artists and photographers will be in the atrium of Clayton Hotel, 626 Chiswick High Rd from 7th September – 28th October 2017.
It will feature 17 local artists and photographers including Jon Perry who has supplied us with some photographs for this website.
For more information please click here to see the article on the Chiswick Calendar website.
Photos We hope that you enjoy the range of photos now on the website. You will see that many of them are by local photographer, Jon Perry, whom we commissioned to provide a portfolio of some of the interesting features from the streets and buildings within our patch. Others are taken by members of the Society.

For example, this photo of the magnificent wild flower meadow in Gunnersbury Park was taken recently by our chairman. If you haven’t been to the park lately, it is well worth a visit to see the meadow and to view the progress being made on the regeneration. The wraps are off the large mansion and the new café is taking shape.
A new leaflet on forthcoming events in the park is available – please click here.

At present, only developers can appeal planning decisions. Civic Voice (Click here to see the website of Civic Voice) is encouraging you to sign a petition to ‘give communities back the right to decide where houses are built.’ This petition calls for a parliamentary debate on the Government’s Housing and Planning policy over building on greenfield land and seeks community right of appeal on planning decisions and the removal of the presumption in favour of sustainable development.
The petition needs 10,000 signatures to receive a government response. If it receives 100,000 signatures, the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.
Please notify your family and friends and ask them to consider signing. The petition is here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/177333
